National Organization for Women is an organization and community that supports women. For too long religions seemed to be supported by women but not for women. It doesn’t need to be that way. The Women and Spirituality committee of Mid-Suffolk NOW is here to help women explore their personal spiritual aspirations. We do this in an interspiritual and interfaith context. All religious faiths are respected while we delve into the mystical core that sustains us all.
Committee Chair, Reverend Karyn O’Beirne, is an Interfaith minister and for the past ten years has lead worship services at the Unitarian Universalist Society of South Suffolk. A graduate of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in NYC, Rev. O’Beirne is available for personalized weddings, baby blessings and memorial services. Karyn is also the author of Findings from the Hunting Party’s Scout which was published in 2008. It is a story that recounts her spiritual journey and adventures as a woman of our time.
